U14s enjoy Hibernian experience in Scotland

Updated: May 5, 2019

Our Under 14 boys and girls school representative squads are currently touring the United Kingdom. Last week they touched down in Scotland and since then they've been extremely busy on and off the court - impressing against the local opposition.

This is a tour with a number of firsts. The inaugural 'Scossie Cup' took place last Saturday, with teams from across Scotland coming together to play against our squads. The following day our players were given the unique opportunity to watch the Hibernian v Heart of Midlothian derby match in Edinburgh. The excitement didn't stop there though, as our players were invited to play on the pitch at half-time and then leave the playing field with a lap of honour.

The relationship with the Edinburgh club is a new addition to the UK tour and one we are confident of building on in forthcoming editions. It didn't end with the matchday experience though, there was more to come. The following Tuesday our players headed to the Hibernian Training Centre.

The morning consisted of a training session at the very same facility as the professionals are put through their paces. We then treated our players and parents to a meet and greet with Socceroos Mark Milligan and Martin Boyle. Both players were fantastic with our group, taking the time to chat, pose for photos and sign autographs. It was a memorable way to conclude the week in Scotland. Next stop Wales!
